September 11, 2010: Kick-Off Brunch


Over 50 branch members, prospective members
and friends attended our "2010-2011 Kick-Off Brunch" held in the hall at the Community Church in Atascadero.  

October, 2010: Colony Days and Tent City; School Board Election Forum
We continued to march in the parade behind the Atascadero AAUW banner dressed as suffragettes.  The forum was very beneficial to all.

November 17, 2010:  Breaking Barriers 
A very informative evening was held; our guest speaker, Rabbi Mehring, touched on many topics related to women in their search for equality and meaning in their lives.  A check was presented to the Friends of the Library to support the community's drive toward a larger and more effective library.   
 

 

 

December 11, 2010:  Annual Soltice Luncheon
     
We enjoyed a great luncheon at the Carlton Hotel and listened to music by The Joyful 3, which included one of our members, Lorene Colvin, and her friends, Sue Dokulil and Ptolemy Gibson.  (Lorene is the one in the middle.) 

January 22, 2011:  Joint Meeting -with Paso Robles, Julie Dunn: Artist, Business Woman & Activist


In our joint meeting with Paso Robles AAUW, we featured Julie Dunn, Artist, Business Woman & Activist:  in these pictures, she is explaining her work in tempera and ink.
